We Are Social and Hootsuit prepares statistics about internet and social media. According to the data of 2019, digital and technology use of Turkey has become unveiled.
72 percent of our population (approximately 60 million people) are internet users. 63 percent of our population (52 million people) are using social media actively. Significantly more than half of them prefers to go mobile.
When we look at the statistics about device use and ownage; smartphone use is ahead of all of them. 98 percent of people have smartphones and nearly 77 percent of population have smartphones. Even more, computer and tablet users are way less compared to smartphones. Despite nearly half of our population have computers; only one fourth have tablets.
Even though some people claims that there’s a decline in time for watching TV, statistics says otherwise because 99 percent of our population have the habit of owning and watching TV.
Furthermore, statistics are different on wearable technologies. Despite there’s an increase in smart watches and devices;only 10 percent of our population uses those products.
