Robots will becoma an important part in our lives. Even more, it’s been started to being put into many fields to replace humans. Robot population have started to increase dramatically. Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0 summit in Boğaziçi University has shared important information on Robotics. According to them, robot population have already started to surge.
Robots have started to replace some of the occupations and also many of our devices that we use everyday. In future, robots will become active in many fields. There’re many studies have been conducted globally and nationally. In 2015, it’s been known that global robot population is 1.5 million. Now, in 2019, it’s reached to 2.5 million and increased 12 percent compared to last year. Aisan countries leads this field.
One of the most important indicators of being robotically developed is that the count of robots per 10.000 people. When we take this as an indicator, Turkey’s has 18 robots per 10.000 people. Let’s share this information to make comparisons, in Asia, this number is generally around 550.
In our country, it’s been known that 8.000 robots are used in industrial field. Within 10-15 years, robots have been expected to become important such as our home life, in production lines, even more from, farming to security.
