In 1950’s, in Philadelphia, between the times of Thanksgiving and Army-Navy game, dozens of people were going to the city to shop. And it there is crowd there, what else is there? Chaos and traffic. This is the reason why they gave the name “Black Friday”. It was a bad day for cops because they had to work much longer compared to the other days.
The recorded use was different, though. The story was a bit different. In 1869, the reason why they were using this name was not because of a shopping spree-it was because of an economic crisis in US, specifically when the gold market crashed. So, the actual story behind the famous “Black Friday”, is this.

This day shoppers may have a potential to become a bit aggressive about what they want to buy. And due to this, some accidents may occur within them. There have been people fighting over a TV in last years, so there is a chance that you might get hurt. But anyways, who doesn’t like shopping right?
