While inventions occur every time of past; inventors lead the way our lifes. As they mostly consist of scientists, astronauts, and physicists; it raises questions about who they are.

Inventors who are the first roots of famous modern inventions:

1- Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs is the founder of Apple and the creator of personalized computers. Also, he led smartphones as the main trend.

2- Douglas Engelbart

Douglas Engelbart is amongst famous American inventors. Despite he’s not known well, he’s the founder of the computer mouse.

3- Dennis Ritchie

Dennis Ritchie is the creator of C language for programming. Even more, he just researched Linux operating system.

4- Ray Dolby

Ray Dolby contributed to developing a video cassette. He also invented a noise reduction system.

5- Sally Ride

Sally Ride is the first female American astronaut going to space in 1983. She also has the youngest American astronaut. While she did her second voyage at Challenger one year later; she died due to pancreatic cancer in 2012.

6- Andy Grove

Andy Grove founded Intel and created the microprocessor industry.

7- Neil Armstrong

Neil Armstrong became the first man on Moon on July 20, 1969. He said ” That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind ”

1966 was on his first voyage. He died in 2012 after his bypass surgery at 82.

8- Vera Rubin

Astronomer Vera Rubin led the studies for dark matter theory.

9- Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking is one of the most known scientists. And he’s known as the modern-day Einstein.

10- Aaron Swartz

While he’s a hacker and an information activist; he found Reddit. He had participated in the development of Creative Commons, RSS, and Y Combinator. He committed suicide when he was 26. Before his death, he was accused of bringing MIT academic publishes open to the public.

11- James Clerk Maxwell

James Clerk Maxwell is the first scientist discovering the speed of light.

12- Yvonne Brill

While she’s a rocket scientist; she has found hydrazine resist jet propulsion. She died in 2013 due to breast cancer complications. Her death note has commemorated deaf stroganoff.

13- Stephanie Kwolek

Stephanie Kwolek is the founder of Kevlar fabric being used in a variety of industries.

14- Amar Bose

He’s the founder of audio company Bose. MIT continues to use Bose’s patents.

15- Dave Goldberg

Dave Goldberg was the CEO of SurveyMonkey. He died tragically when he fell on a treadmill in Mexico, 2015.

16- Eugene Cernan

While he was a NASA astronaut, he left the footprints of Apollo 17 mission in 1972.

17- Bill Campbell

Bill Campbell consulted inventors like Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg.

18- Nancy Roman

Nancy Roman was an astronomer and an executive at NASA. She was known as the mother of Hubble due to her studies.

19- Joe Sutter

He has developed the first jumbo jet. He also led Boeing 707 and 737 crews.

20- Erich Bloch

Erich Bloch contributed to the development of IBM’s main computer.

21- George Rosenkranz

He synthesized the birth control pill and practical cortisol.

22- Ray Tomlinson

He had developed the e-mail system and chose @ as a distinguisher between user and computer.

23- John Glenn

He was the first American astronaut in 1962 when he traveled across the world’s orbits. He returned to space with Discovery when he was 77 in 1998.

24- Gary Burrell

Gary Burrell was the founder of the GPS device producer Garmin.

25- Raye Montague

Raye Montague was an Afro-American female naval engineer. She was the first person to design a ship with computer systems. She’s also the first woman as a program executive for ships.

26- Alexei Leonov

Alexei Leonov is the first cosmonaut to walk on space. He died in 2019 after a  disease when he was 85. He took part in the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project in 1975.

27- Paul Allen

He found Microsoft and financed SpaceShipOne. He also founded Allen Neuroscience Institute and many others.

28- Colin Kroll

Colin Kroll was one of the developers of Vine and Trivia’s HQ Trivia.

29- Lee Iacocca

He assisted the design of Mustang, Pinto, and Escort at Ford. He’s also the founder of the minivan. But, his biggest success was turning Chrysler from bankruptcy in the 1980s. His autobiography Lee Iacocca: An Autobiography is a bestseller in 1984 and 1985.
