Youtube also stated the aim of this change. Youtubers are being disturbed when they exposed to something and losing lots of their subscribers. Even more, it can cause stress and a reduction to efficiency to them. Youtube also stated that they also aim to get ahead of the following of the number of subscribers.
Of course channel owners can follow total subscriber numbers on their accounts with Youtube Studio and Analytics.
